Raising a glass to new craft beer

As the craft beer industry continues to grow and innovate, we’re thrilled to be supporting the launch of 16 new lines from three local suppliers – Broughton Ales, Belhaven and William’s Brothers – in 50 Asda stores across Scotland.

As the craft beer industry continues to grow and innovate, we’re thrilled to be supporting the launch of 16 new lines from three local suppliers.

For family-owned Williams Brothers, it's the first time they've worked with Asda.

Meanwhile, Broughton Ales has been working with Asda for over 16 years. After being established in 1979 in the small Borders Village, the company went on to employ seven staff and produce a wide range of beers using quality Scottish produce. Following this new contract, Broughton Ales aim to expand their business and take on more people in the brewhouse in the very near future.

Belhaven is Scotland’s oldest working brewery and is best known for brewing the country’s top-selling ale, Belhaven Best. Their new offering broadens the variety of beers available from the brewer at Asda and builds on the already successful range.

Brian O’Shea, Asda’s regional buying manager for Scotland, is excited about the extended beer range: “Broughton, Belhaven and Williams Brothers beer products are premium quality and will give customers a new and local choice, particularly with the beer trend continuing to boom and fresh flavours on offer."
